The nasal bone (NB) test is a part of it.<\/p><p>There is a fluid-filled space behind the fetus\u2019s neck called the nuchal translucency or the nuchal fold. The scan measures the translucency and the thickness of the fold. The test is not at all painful but a slight pressure can be felt on the abdomen to get a clear picture.
