To examine the pelvic area of the females or the pelvic cavity, the doctor recommends the use of Pelvic Sonography. It is a non-invasive diagnostic exam that produces images of the organs in the pelvis. These organs include uterus, cervix, vagina, fallopian tubes, and ovaries.

The tests or the sonography to check the organs will be done via tummy and if necessary by the vagina also. Sometimes Pelvic Sonography can also help detect the ovarian cancer. The Pelvic sonography is not a painful procedure and the results of the scan are accurate.
