The lining of the uterus is called Endometrium and when this layer gets infected with cancer then it is called as Uterine Cancer. People who are overweight and gets period in their early age are more prone to this type of cancer. Other factors that increase the risk of the cancer include menopause after 55 years, radiation to the pelvis, taking tamoxifen and others.

Uterus is the pear shaped pelvic organ where the fetal development takes place. The most common symptoms of the uterine cancer are the occurrence of bleeding after menopause and in between the period. Uterine cancer may be treated with removal of the uterus.
